Russian forces have intensified strikes on what they describe as key Ukrainian military logistics sites, according to Russian military analyst Anatoly Matviychuk.
According to the report, published by the Kyiv Post on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, Matviychuk told Sputnik that Russian attacks have targeted military warehouses, production facilities and logistics infrastructure allegedly supporting Ukraine’s defence operations. He claimed that recent missile strikes hit sites in Brovary, near Kyiv, including facilities allegedly linked to the production of military equipment, FP-1 drones and engines for Flamingo missiles, as well as warehouses storing ammunition and medical supplies.
According to the report, Matviychuk also alleged that a railway hub in the Kyiv region was struck because it was being used to transport supplies to Ukrainian forces operating on the Donetsk and Kherson fronts. He further claimed that Ukraine’s air defence network has been significantly weakened by sustained Russian attacks.
The report noted that Ukraine has not confirmed the reported damage, and the specific strike locations and their military significance have not been independently verified. It added that Ukraine continues to rely on Western air defence systems to counter Russian missile and drone attacks amid the ongoing conflict.
