Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development Solomon Dalung has called for the suspension of Chief of Staff to the President Femi Gbajabiamila over the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC) controversy, arguing that the Office of the Chief of Staff should be central to the investigation.
According to a Daily Post report published on Friday, July 3, 2026, Dalung made the remarks during an appearance on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily. He described the Chief of Staff as the “number one suspect” and said suspending him would strengthen public confidence in the probe.
Dalung argued that investigators should determine how businessman Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi allegedly gained access to the Presidential Villa, stressing that entry is tightly controlled.
“Adeniyi did not access the Villa except when somebody granted him a pass. The Villa is not Zone 4 or a marketplace. Even if you have an appointment in the Villa, you must be accredited with a pass to gain entry,” he said.
He maintained that investigators should identify who authorized the alleged visits and whether established security procedures were followed, insisting that any credible investigation must examine whether officials facilitated the access.
