Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote, has opened up about the largest amount of money he has made within a single year.
Speaking in an interview with James Dumoulin of The School of Hard Knocks, Dangote revealed that he made an astonishing $10 billion in just the first quarter of a year.
When asked about the most money he had ever made in a single year, the Nigerian billionaire businessman responded: “First quarter, we did about $10 billion.”
During the interview, Dangote was also asked about his wealth and whether he is worth the $38 billion estimated by Forbes.
The business mogul appeared to downplay the figure, suggesting that his actual wealth could be significantly higher because some of his businesses are not publicly listed.
Asked how he would like to be remembered, the billionaire gave a straightforward answer.
“I want to be remembered as somebody who industrialised Africa,” he said.
