Anambra First Lady Pays 2nd Visit To Abused 10-Year-Old Boy in Hospital, Assures Continued Support

Anambra State First Lady, Nonye Soludo, has paid a second visit to Chiziterem, the 10-year-old boy allegedly abused by his guardians in Awada, Obosi, as he continues receiving treatment in hospital.

In an update shared on her verified Instagram page, Nonye Soludo said the visit was aimed at monitoring the child’s recovery and offering support to his family during the healing process.

According to the First Lady, Chiziterem has shown significant improvement since her previous visit and is now much stronger. She commended the medical team caring for him and expressed satisfaction with his progress.

Soludo said the boy’s recovery reflects the dedication of healthcare workers as well as the support, prayers, and concern shown by members of the public since the case became known.

She reaffirmed her commitment to ensuring that Chiziterem receives the care, protection, and assistance required until he fully recovers and is reunited with his family.

The First Lady also renewed her call for stronger action against child abuse and neglect, stressing that every child deserves a safe environment and the opportunity to thrive. She urged residents to continue reporting cases of abuse, describing the protection of vulnerable children as a collective responsibility.
