Ardo Risku Killing: There Will Be No Hiding Place for Criminals – Akume

Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), George Akume, has condemned the killing of Alhaji Ardo Risku, the Benue State Chairman of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (MACBAN), and his associate, describing the attack as a grave threat to peace and security.

According to a Daily Post report published on Sunday, June 28, 2026, Akume’s position was conveyed in a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Yomi Odunuga, and made available to journalists in Makurdi.

The SGF said the Federal Government is deeply concerned about the killings and called for a thorough investigation to identify, arrest, and prosecute those responsible. He stressed that failure to hold the perpetrators accountable could encourage further violence and undermine public confidence in the justice system.

“The lives of every Nigerian are sacred. Those who believe they can undermine peace through violence and murder must understand that there will be no hiding place for them. Justice must not only be done but must also be seen to be done,” the statement read.

Akume reaffirmed the government’s commitment to protecting lives and property, emphasizing that the rule of law must prevail and that violent crimes should be met with swift and decisive justice.
