Ivy Ifeoma, the wife of Nigerian singer Paul Okoye, has encouraged people to be careful about the kind of songs and movies they consume, warning that some forms of entertainment can have a negative influence on their minds and spirits.
In a post shared on her Instagram page on Sunday, the fashion entrepreneur advised her followers to stay away from any music or movie that promotes harmful thoughts or behaviour, regardless of how much they admire the person behind it.
According to the mother of one, people should pay close attention to how certain content affects them emotionally and spiritually.
Ivy Ifeoma added that many people believe they are strong enough not to be influenced by what they watch or listen to, but she disagrees.
“Pay attention to songs and movies that sow evil seeds in your spirit. It doesn’t matter how much you like the artist/actor/person, if you can feel it birthing evil in your mind – lust, dishonesty, lies, any evil whatsoever, just cut it off,” the fashion entrepreneur wrote.
“Don’t worry, I know you feel like your spirit is strong and it can’t affect you, but believe me, just cut it off. It’s not really worth it! It will affect you.,” she added.
