Halima Abubakar: More Than 30 People Were Working Non-Stop Just to Make Sure I Don’t Come Back

Actress Halima Abubakar has alleged that more than 30 people worked together to prevent her return to public life during her prolonged illness and period of isolation.

Speaking in a video posted by Channels Television on July 21, 2026, Abubakar claimed the opposition she faced was a coordinated effort involving numerous individuals rather than a single person.

“It was a coordinated effort of a lot of people, not just one person. More than 30 people were working non-stop just to make sure I don’t come back,” she said.

Abubakar alleged that the campaign against her included isolation by friends and colleagues, suspension from her professional guild, and an attempt to evict her from her rented home. However, she did not identify those she accused, saying they already know their roles.

The actress said she has chosen to move forward by focusing on her recovery, faith, and rebuilding her career through new projects, including a web series and a documentary about her life. She also expressed gratitude to supporters in Nigeria and abroad, saying their encouragement helped her through the difficult period.
