“I Actually Spend Less in Yankee Because I Live With Just Me, My Wife and My Kids” – Davido

Grammy-nominated Nigerian singer Davido has revealed that his monthly personal expenses in Nigeria range between $200,000 and $300,000, excluding additional costs such as his wife’s expenses, household maintenance, luxury vehicles, and jewellery.

According to a Punch report published on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, the Afrobeats star made the disclosure during a live conversation on Davrel Twitch on Tuesday while discussing the differences between his spending in Nigeria and the United States.

Davido said maintaining his lifestyle in Nigeria is significantly more expensive because of the size of his household and the responsibilities that come with his status.

He explained that the estimated monthly figure covers only his regular personal expenses and does not include other major financial commitments, such as expenses related to his wife, maintaining his home, luxury cars, and jewellery.

According to the singer, those additional obligations substantially increase his overall spending.

Davido contrasted his financial commitments in Nigeria with those in the United States, where he said his expenses are considerably lower because his household consists only of his immediate family.

“I actually spend less in Yankee because I live with just me, my wife and my kids,” he said.

The singer noted that the smaller family setup in the United States makes it easier to manage his finances, unlike in Nigeria, where he has broader responsibilities and a larger number of people who depend on him.

Davido made the remarks while interacting with viewers during the Davrel Twitch livestream, where he discussed various aspects of his personal life, lifestyle, and experiences.
