Former Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has defended his involvement in the party’s 2023 presidential campaign, insisting that his impact was not limited to the number of votes he personally delivered.
During an interview on Channels Television, Baba-Ahmed addressed critics who argued that he contributed only about 3,000 votes to the Peter Obi-led ticket.
He explained that his selection was meant to strengthen the ticket’s credibility and national appeal rather than serve as a source of votes from a specific region. According to him, winning an election depends on, Tap to expand.
