Former Acting Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission and All Progressives Congress chieftain Kayode Oladele has expressed confidence that Bola Ahmed Tinubu will win a second term in the 2027 presidential election.
According to a statement reported by Punch on June 25, 2026, Oladele said the Peoples Democratic Party had lost its electoral appeal in Ogun State due to prolonged internal divisions, recurring leadership disputes and a lack of clear direction.
He argued that the APC has strengthened its position through governance and policy implementation at both the federal and state levels, while the PDP has remained preoccupied with internal crises.
Oladele also praised the Tinubu administration, saying it inherited significant economic and fiscal challenges but had shown courage by introducing reforms that previous governments avoided. Although he acknowledged the difficulties associated with the reforms, he maintained they were necessary to address longstanding structural issues.
“I have every confidence that President Tinubu will secure another mandate in 2027. The reforms are beginning to produce encouraging results and Nigerians will increasingly appreciate the long-term value of the policies being implemented today,” Oladele said.
