I Sued Kenneth Okonkwo So That He Can Bring Out The Hidden Things He Claimed He Knows About Me—Obi

Peter Obi has explained that his lawsuit against former spokesperson Kenneth Okonkwo is intended to allow allegations made against him to be tested through the courts.

Speaking during an interview on With Chude, Obi said Okonkwo had claimed to possess undisclosed information about him and suggested he would reveal it if provoked or sued.

“Kenneth Okonkwo said that as my spokesperson he has so many hidden things that if he’s provoked or sued he will bring them out, and that’s the only reason I’m suing him,” Obi said.

The former Anambra State governor said he chose legal action because anyone making serious allegations against a public figure should present supporting evidence in court rather than leave the claims as public accusations. He argued that transparency and accountability are essential in public office and maintained that the lawsuit is not an attempt to silence criticism but to ensure such claims are subjected to judicial scrutiny.

At the time of his remarks, there was no public response from Okonkwo to Obi’s latest comments.
