Popular Yoruba Nollywood actress Aunty Ramota has expressed disappointment over not being invited to the burial of veteran actor Odunlade Adekola’s father, saying the omission left her unhappy.
Speaking in an interview with Feel Right TV published on June 23, 2026, Ramota reflected on her experiences in the film industry, including her relationships with colleagues and memorable moments in her career.
She recalled that the burial, held in August 2025 in Otun-Ekiti, Ekiti State, was attended by numerous Nollywood actors, industry stakeholders, fans, and dignitaries. However, she said she was not invited despite her connection to the Yoruba movie industry.
“I wasn’t happy. Odunlade Adekola didn’t invite me for his father’s funeral,” she said, adding that the lack of an invitation affected her. She did not say whether she later discussed the issue with the actor.
Ramota also spoke about her interactions with actor and comedian Ijoba Lande and remembered her relationship with the late actress Aunty Ajara. She said Aunty Ajara admired and appreciated her, recalling the support she received from the late actress during her career.
