Political commentator Bill O’Reilly has said the United States should intensify military pressure on Iran by targeting key infrastructure if Tehran fails to comply with the terms of a ceasefire agreement.
Speaking during an interview with Piers Morgan in a video posted on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, O’Reilly argued that a ground invasion would not be necessary. Instead, he said sustained strikes on Iran’s ports, roads, and bridges would further weaken the country’s economy, which he claimed is already struggling with inflation exceeding 100 percent.
“Inflation is currently operating at more than 100% there. So he’ll blow up the ports. He’ll destroy the infrastructure, roads, and bridges, which would make life extremely hard for the average Persian,” O’Reilly said.
When Morgan asked how the United States would respond if Iran retaliated by attacking Gulf states, O’Reilly acknowledged that Iran still has the capacity to inflict damage through such actions. However, he argued that U.S. intelligence assessments indicate Iran’s ability to sustain prolonged warfare has been significantly reduced and warned that refusing to cooperate would only worsen conditions within the country.
