The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has said the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, could fall to between ₦450 and ₦500 per litre if the Federal Government implements the right policies.
Ayodele argued that lower fuel prices are achievable if the government demonstrates the political will to address challenges in the downstream petroleum sector and introduce measures that reduce production and distribution costs.
He said Nigerians are grappling with a high cost of living, stressing that a reduction in petrol prices would ease the burden on households by lowering transportation costs and business expenses.
The cleric urged the Federal Government to prioritize economic policies aimed at stabilizing the economy and improving citizens’ welfare. He maintained that, with the necessary commitment and sound economic strategy, petrol could be sold for as low as ₦450 to ₦500 per litre, adding that such a move would positively impact both the economy and the daily lives of Nigerians.
