According to the Daily Post on Friday, July 3, 2026, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to establish an independent Judicial Commission of Inquiry to investigate the controversy surrounding the alleged Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC).

In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, the party said the allegations have raised serious concerns about transparency, accountability and the credibility of public institutions.

The ADC said it had reviewed both the allegations and the Presidency’s response but argued that the government’s explanation failed to address key questions. It maintained that the matter extends beyond the actions of a single individual, noting that several government offices and institutions were reportedly linked to the alleged organisation.

The party questioned how an entity described by officials as non-existent was allegedly able to interact with ministries, government agencies and foreign diplomats, exchange official correspondence and obtain approvals.

The ADC said these issues warrant a broader investigation into possible institutional failures, warning that if the Tinubu administration does not conduct an independent probe, the PFIPC controversy would become “one of the accountability priorities of an ADC-led government.” It added, “There will be no sacred cows, no untouchables, and no hiding place for corruption.”
