A Benue man, Kamo Emmanuel has stated that parents of wealthy individuals living in cities don’t face witchcraft accusations.
He stated this on Thursday, August 6, 2026 while reacting to photos of an elderly man who was accused of witchcraft in Mbagen clan, Buruku Local Government Area of Benue State. A Facebook user, Naomi had shared the photos, accusing the man of being responsible for the d8ath of her brother and others in the community.
Reacting, Emmanuel wrote;
“In Tiv society, parents who have rich kids in the city are not tagged witches and wizards. Poverty is a b@stard,” he wrote, reiterating the brutal reality of poverty.
