I’ve Told Mr. President That I’ll No Longer Speak to You; I Just Honoured You for the Last Time — Ndume

Senator Ali Ndume has revealed that he informed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of his decision to stop granting interviews to Channels Television anchor Seun Okinbaloye, describing his latest appearance on the programme as his last.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television on Friday, July 10, 2026, Ndume said he had already communicated his decision to the president and agreed to appear on the programme one final time out of respect for the interviewer.

“I have informed Mr. President that I will no longer speak to you. I have just honoured you for the last time,” Ndume said.

During the interview, the senator also congratulated President Tinubu on the successful rescue of the abducted students from Oyo State. He described the operation as a positive development in the fight against insecurity and commended the security agencies for their efforts.

Ndume expressed hope that similar rescue operations would be sustained to secure the release of other victims still being held captive by kidnappers.
