Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has clarified reports linking Mohamed Salah with a free-transfer move to Turkish club Beşiktaş, saying no agreement has been finalized despite the club’s interest.
Salah, who is leaving Liverpool this summer following the expiration of his contract, has attracted interest from clubs in the Saudi Pro League, Major League Soccer (MLS), and Turkey.
Speculation intensified after French outlet Foot Mercato reported that Beşiktaş had reached a verbal agreement with the Egyptian forward on a one-year contract worth €10 million per season, plus €2 million in bonuses, with an option for an additional year.
However, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abass Issa, dismissed claims that the player’s next destination had been decided, stating that he did not yet know where Salah would play next season.
Romano said Beşiktaş have submitted an offer but stressed that negotiations remain ongoing and no deal has been completed. He added that the Turkish club’s public response to the reports reflected the absence of a finalized agreement.
According to Romano, Salah is still weighing offers from Beşiktaş, MLS clubs, and teams in the Saudi Pro League before making a decision on his future.
