NDC: We Can’t Continue Watching Millions of Young Nigerians Remain Unemployed Without Hope – Galadima

Buba Galadima, a stalwart of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has called for urgent action to address Nigeria’s growing unemployment crisis, warning that millions of young people cannot be left without hope or economic opportunities.

Speaking during an interview aired on the official YouTube channel of Arise TV on Thursday, July 16, 2026, Galadima said sustainable economic policies and investment in productive sectors are essential to reducing poverty and restoring hope among young Nigerians.

“We cannot continue watching millions of young Nigerians remain unemployed without hope or opportunity,” Galadima said.

He described unemployment as one of the country’s biggest threats to national stability, warning that prolonged joblessness could fuel insecurity, crime, and social unrest.

Galadima argued that young Nigerians deserve access to quality education, vocational training, and meaningful employment that would enable them to contribute to the country’s development.

He said the NDC’s vision is centred on empowering young people through agriculture, industrialisation, entrepreneurship, and skills acquisition, adding that job creation should be a top priority for any government seeking sustainable economic growth.

Galadima also called for policies that encourage local production and support businesses capable of employing more Nigerians. According to him, investing in the country’s human capital would strengthen the economy while reducing the frustrations faced by many young people.

He expressed confidence that with effective leadership and practical economic reforms, Nigeria could unlock the potential of its youthful population and create a future where hard work, innovation, and opportunity replace unemployment and hopelessness.
