According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday, August 1, 2026, Afrobeats star David “Davido” Adeleke says marriage, fatherhood and over 15 years in the music industry have transformed his lifestyle and the way he manages his career.

Speaking during an interview on The Vibe Q following the release of his sixth studio album, ORIADÉ, Davido said his priorities have shifted, leading him to adopt a more disciplined approach to his personal and professional life.
The singer explained that he no longer keeps people around him without a clear purpose, adding that members of his team and close associates are expected to contribute meaningfully to his brand by developing valuable skills.
Davido said marrying Chioma Adeleke and raising a family has significantly influenced his decisions, particularly regarding his home environment.
“Now I live with the kids and my wife. I can’t have a hundred people in my house like before. Normally, recording in the studio is like a party vibe, but with this record, because of my situation, I can’t have a hundred people at the crib,” he said.
He added that his recording sessions are now quieter and more structured to reflect his family responsibilities.
