Oyo: ‘I’m Begging Gov’t to Release Corpse of My Husband to Me, I Have 3 Children, I Need Help’ — Olaleye

The widow of a teacher who died while in the custody of kidnappers during the Oriire school abduction in Oyo State has appealed to the government to release her husband’s body for burial and provide support for her family.

According to TVC News, Mrs. Olaleye made the emotional appeal during an interview, saying the loss has left her and her three children facing an uncertain future.

“Please, I’m begging the government to release the corpse of my husband to me. Then I’m begging the government to help me. I have three children,” she said.

Mrs. Olaleye said her immediate wish is to give her husband a proper burial in line with family traditions while seeking assistance to care for their children.

Her husband died while being held by the abductors during the Oriire school kidnapping, although several other victims were later rescued or regained their freedom.

The widow said the tragedy has placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on her household and appealed to the authorities for compassionate support as the family struggles to rebuild its life after the incident.
