Reactions Trail What Atiku Said About Tinubu’s Govt After Body of Habila Was Found at Umahi’s Home

Social media users have reacted to comments by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar after he criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration over the reported discovery of Mary Habila’s body at the residence of Minister of Works David Umahi.

In a post on his official X account on Thursday, Atiku questioned what he described as the Federal Government’s silence over the incident and called on President Tinubu to direct Umahi to step aside to allow for what he described as an independent and transparent investigation.

“And through all of this, silence from the Presidency. Silence from the Federal Executive Council. Silence from the Inspector General of Police. Silence from the National Assembly. Not one word. Not one directive,” Atiku wrote.

The post generated widespread reactions on X, with users expressing differing views. While some supported Atiku’s call for greater accountability and official communication, others urged the public to allow investigators to complete their work and cautioned against drawing conclusions before the outcome of the investigation. Police inquiries into the circumstances surrounding Habila’s death remain ongoing.
