Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi has reacted to Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s comment that President Bola Tinubu is doing his best to address Nigeria’s security challenges.
Speaking during an interview on With Chude, Obi described Pastor Adeboye as a respected religious leader whose prayers and those of other spiritual figures have helped Nigeria through difficult times.
Obi said he agrees that President Tinubu is making efforts to tackle insecurity, but argued that the key issue is whether those efforts are achieving the desired results.
According to him, leadership should be judged not only by intentions but also by outcomes, especially as Nigerians continue to face security challenges.
“Pastor Adeboye said Tinubu has tried his best. The question to ask is: Is BAT’s best good enough?” Obi said.
The former Anambra State governor added that although Tinubu may be working hard, the demands of the presidency appear overwhelming, suggesting that the President may need to step aside and rest.
Obi maintained that the focus should remain on finding effective solutions to improve security and protect Nigerians.
