Former Enugu East senatorial candidate Ada Ogbu has responded to claims by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, regarding former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi’s visit to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.
In a post shared on her official X account on Saturday, July 11, 2026, Ogbu disputed Keyamo’s claim that Obi arrived at the domestic terminal on Saturday, July 4, 2026, with a police officer serving as his driver. The minister had also accused Obi of violating airport parking regulations.
According to Keyamo, “On Saturday, July 4, 2026, Mr. Obi arrived at the domestic terminal of the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja, with a police officer as his driver.”
Responding, Ogbu said she was among the team that accompanied Obi to the Abuja airport on July 4 and insisted the former governor does not use a police officer as his driver while in Abuja.
“As someone who was part of the group that took His Excellency Peter Obi to the Abuja airport on Saturday, July 4, I can clearly say that he does not have a police driver when in Abuja,” she wrote.
