Arsenal have completed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Misa Rodriguez on a free transfer following the expiration of her contract with Real Madrid, according to a Daily Post report published on Wednesday, July 22, 2026.
The 27-year-old joins the Gunners ahead of the new season after making 215 appearances for Real Madrid. She also brings international experience, having earned 24 caps for Spain.
Rodriguez will compete for a place alongside Daphne Van Domselaar, Anneke Borbe and Isabella Damm as Arsenal strengthen their goalkeeping options for a campaign that includes multiple competitions.
Her arrival marks Arsenal’s seventh signing of the summer. The club had previously added Isabella Damm, Georgia Stanway, Geraldine Reuteler, Selina Cerci, Ona Batlle and Lisa Baum to the squad.
Rodriguez is also Arsenal’s fifth free-transfer signing of the transfer window, joining Stanway, Batlle, Cerci and Reuteler. The North London club has relied heavily on the free-agent market to bolster its squad with experienced players as it prepares to compete for major honours in the upcoming season.
