Transfer: Marc Cucurella Willing to Welcome £120 Million Chelsea Star to Real Madrid

Former Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has said he would welcome former teammate Enzo Fernández to Real Madrid amid reports linking the Chelsea midfielder with a move to the Spanish club.

According to Daily Post, Real Madrid are interested in signing the Argentina international but have yet to make formal contact with Chelsea over a potential transfer.

The report adds that Fernández is open to joining the Spanish giants, having expressed his admiration for the club during an interview in March. Personal terms are not expected to be an obstacle if negotiations progress.

Chelsea are reportedly reluctant to sell the midfielder but would consider offers in the region of £120 million.

Speaking to Spanish outlet AS, Cucurella confirmed he remains close friends with Fernández after being asked whether the midfielder had congratulated him on his move to the Santiago Bernabéu.

“He congratulated me, we’re great friends and we’ve developed a very good relationship,” Cucurella said.

The report also noted that while José Mourinho is an admirer of Fernández, Real Madrid are assessing other central midfield options as they continue their summer recruitment.
