Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has recalled a humorous incident from his youth when his father confronted him over a pregnancy involving a girl he knew.
Speaking during an interview on News Central TV on Saturday, July 11, 2026, Charly Boy said he was summoned to the sitting room, where he found the girl’s parents, the young woman, and his own parents waiting for him.
According to him, his father asked whether he knew the girl, to which he replied that he did, adding that she was also known by the friends he played football with.
“My father said, ‘You know she’s pregnant,’ and I looked at my father and I said, ‘Ah! Like how?’ I said, ‘You guys should stop looking at me; I’m a small boy. How can I do this?'”
Charly Boy said his response nearly made his father laugh despite the seriousness of the situation. He described the incident as one of the unforgettable moments of his youth, recalling how shocked and bewildered he felt when the allegation was first made.
