Mosab Hassan Yousef, a political commentator and former Hamas insider, has warned against efforts to eliminate Israel, arguing that such attempts are ultimately self-defeating.
In a statement posted on his verified X account, Yousef criticized individuals and groups campaigning against Israel, accusing them of spreading misinformation, distorting facts, and fueling division for public attention.
“You cannot destroy Israel. Anyone who tries will be destroyed in the process,” he wrote.
Yousef argued that many critics of Israel lack an understanding of the country’s history and overlook its contributions in areas such as science, medicine, technology, and innovation.
According to him, Israel’s resilience is rooted in national unity, cooperation, and a strong commitment to security, agriculture, and technological advancement. He said these factors have enabled the country to withstand decades of regional conflict and security challenges.
Yousef also cautioned that internal divisions pose a significant threat to national stability. He argued that even powerful countries can become vulnerable if social cohesion and public trust deteriorate, warning that fragmentation from within can be as dangerous as external threats.
The comments have generated discussion online, adding to ongoing debates surrounding Israel, regional security, and the broader geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.
