Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has reaffirmed his commitment to delivering 2.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the next election, urging residents to intensify grassroots mobilisation in support of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Speaking during an interview aired on TVC News on Sunday, June 28, 2026, Okpebholo said every party supporter has a responsibility to spread the APC’s message to relatives, friends, and neighbours.
“I was telling them in Central yesterday, tell your girlfriend, tell your boyfriend, tell your mama, tell your father, tell your children about our 2.5 million votes,” the governor said.
He stressed that the campaign should not be left to party leaders alone, adding that all APC supporters should serve as ambassadors by encouraging more people to identify with the party’s programmes and candidates.
Okpebholo said sustained community-level mobilisation would be key to achieving the party’s vote target in Edo State. He also expressed confidence that the APC is gaining support across the state’s three senatorial districts, citing the administration’s policies and development projects as factors strengthening public confidence in the ruling party.
