Barcelona are reportedly interested in signing AC Milan forward Rafael Leao following his performances for Portugal at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
According to Mundo Deportivo on Sunday, July 5, 2026, the Catalan club have made enquiries about the Portugal international, with AC Milan valuing the 27-year-old at between €60 million and €70 million.
Leao has impressed despite limited starts, scoring in Portugal’s 5-0 group-stage win over Uzbekistan before starting the Round of 32 victory over Croatia and providing the assist for Gonçalo Ramos’ stoppage-time winner in the 2-1 triumph.
Barcelona have been linked with Leao in previous transfer windows and are reported to have revived their interest this summer, although they have already strengthened their attack with the reported signing of Anthony Gordon from Newcastle United for about €70 million, plus €10 million in add-ons. Head coach Hansi Flick also has Lamine Yamal, Raphinha and Ferran Torres among his attacking options.
The club are also reportedly monitoring 18-year-old Colorado Rapids defender Lucas Herrington after his standout performances for Australia at the World Cup. Everton, Napoli, AC Milan and Liverpool are also said to be interested in the highly rated centre-back.
