Labour Party chieftain Abayomi Arabambi has called for clarification from relevant institutions over documents relating to Peter Obi’s academic and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) records.
Speaking during an interview on SYMFONI TV, Arabambi alleged that some dates and details contained in Obi’s certificates raised questions that should be independently examined by the authorities responsible for issuing the documents.
He argued that institutions such as the University of Nigeria and the NYSC are in the best position to provide explanations on the records and address any concerns surrounding their authenticity and consistency.
“Peter Obi’s NYSC and University Certificates Raise Questions That Authorities Must Answer,” Arabambi said during the interview.
The Labour Party figure also questioned whether Obi’s academic qualifications aligned with admission requirements at the time, insisting that educational authorities should clarify any issues through official channels.
However, the programme host noted that the claims require verification from the institutions involved rather than conclusions being reached during the interview.
Arabambi maintained that his position was to encourage transparency and accountability, arguing that public officials and political figures should be prepared to answer questions concerning their credentials when raised through lawful processes.
