Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi has responded to Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s remarks that President Bola Tinubu is making efforts to address Nigeria’s insecurity challenges.
Speaking during an interview on With Chude, Obi described Adeboye as a respected religious leader whose prayers and guidance have contributed to the country’s stability during difficult periods.
Obi said he agrees that President Tinubu is doing his best, but argued that the major question is whether the effort is sufficient to solve Nigeria’s security problems.
According to him, while the President may be working hard, the situation requires more effective results. He added that Tinubu appears overwhelmed by the challenges facing the country and suggested that the President may need to step aside and rest.
“Pastor Adeboye said Tinubu has tried his best. The question to ask is: Is BAT’s best good enough?” Obi said.
The former Anambra State governor maintained that assessing leadership should go beyond intentions and focus on the outcomes achieved, particularly in areas such as security and national development.
