Faith Agbro, the twin sister of the late 20-year-old Favour Agbro, has recalled her final conversations with her sister, saying Favour told her she was travelling to Asaba but did not reveal who she was going to meet or the purpose of the trip.
Speaking in an interview with BBC News Pidgin, Faith described Favour as more than a sister, saying they shared a close bond despite attending different schools and living apart at times. She said Favour was protective of her and enjoyed planning their birthdays, preferring quiet celebrations at home.
Recalling their last conversation, Faith said Favour informed her about her planned trip to Asaba.
“Favour told me that she was going to Asaba,” she said. “I asked her, ‘Who are you going to meet in Asaba?’ I asked her why she was going there.”
According to Faith, Favour did not answer either question.
She added that because she was away at school, she never saw her sister again after the trip. However, during subsequent phone conversations, she noticed a change in Favour’s emotions and behaviour, although she did not understand what was troubling her at the time.
