“If You Want to Escape, This Is Your Chance to Escape” – Pastor Kumuyi Urges Ahead of God’s Judgment

The General Superintendent of Deeper Christian Life Ministry, Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, has urged people to heed God’s warnings and repent, saying the opportunity to escape divine judgment remains open.

Speaking during a sermon streamed on YouTube, Kumuyi said God’s warnings are acts of mercy intended to lead people to repentance before judgment is carried out.

Preaching from the book of Exodus, he said God’s dealings with Pharaoh and Egypt demonstrated both divine justice and compassion. According to the cleric, the plagues were not only punitive but also provided Pharaoh with repeated opportunities to obey God’s command.

Referring to Isaiah 26:11, Kumuyi said many people fail to recognise God’s outstretched hand until judgment arrives. He added that God allows pressure through judgments to prevent people from continuing in rebellion and facing eternal consequences.

“Judgment is coming. And if you want to escape, this is your chance to escape,” Kumuyi said, describing it as the final warning God gave Pharaoh before the last plague struck Egypt.

The cleric said the biblical account illustrates God’s patience, noting that He continually offers people the opportunity to repent before executing judgment.

Kumuyi urged listeners not to harden their hearts or delay responding to God’s call, warning that no one knows when the opportunity for repentance will end. He added that salvation remains available to all who are willing to turn away from sin and place their faith in God.

He encouraged believers to take God’s warnings seriously and embrace His offer of mercy while it remains available, stressing that God’s desire is for people to be saved before the final day of judgment.
