A victim of the July 26, 2026, bandit attack on Naridon village in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State has described how dozens of heavily armed attackers stormed the community, saying they spoke the Fulani language and opened fire as they invaded homes.
Speaking during an interview with Arise News on Wednesday, July 29, the victim said residents were caught off guard as the attackers moved through the village, firing gunshots and forcing people to flee for safety.
“We think it’s Fulani people because they were speaking Fulani language. So they started from this side and entered this house with gunshots. They were about 50 in number,” the witness said.
According to the victim, the large group of gunmen overwhelmed the community, creating widespread panic as they advanced from house to house. The witness said the sustained gunfire sent residents scrambling for cover, with many fearing for their lives throughout the attack.
