“My Child Is Not A Troublesome Person Who Will Do That Type Of Thing” – Fake Agency DG’s Father

The father of Prince Adeniyi Adeyemi, the self-acclaimed Director-General of the controversial Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), has defended his son, saying the allegations against him do not reflect his character.

According to Punch, Adetunji Adeniyi spoke after security operatives reportedly searched his residence in Ogbomosho, Oyo State, in an effort to locate his son. He said officers searched the property and took him in for questioning about Adeniyi Adeyemi’s whereabouts before later releasing him.

Speaking to BBC Yoruba on Wednesday, Adetunji described his son as calm, respectful and compassionate, saying the allegations came as a shock because they were inconsistent with the behaviour he had known throughout his life.

“My child is not a troublesome person who will do that type of thing that they are looking for him,” he said.

He added that the operation and the ongoing controversy had caused significant emotional distress for his family, leaving them anxious and struggling to understand the circumstances surrounding the allegations. Adetunji said he hopes the facts of the case will become clear while maintaining his son’s innocence.
