While I Was at Home, My Son Went to See His Dad and He Was Denied Access – El-Rufai’s Wife

Hajiya Asia El-Rufai has alleged that her son was denied access to visit his father, Nasir El-Rufai, despite assurances that he would be allowed to see him.

Speaking in a video shared by SYMFONI TV, Asia El-Rufai appealed to Bola Tinubu to ensure her husband is treated fairly and accorded his constitutional rights throughout his trial.

“While I was at home, my son went to see his dad, and he was denied access,” she said. According to her, a liaison officer identified as Mr. Henry initially attributed the incident to a mix-up and assured the family that her son would eventually be granted access.

Asia said her son remained at the facility from 2 p.m. until 6 p.m. without seeing his father. She added that she later visited the location and sought to meet either the liaison officer or the Director of Operations, expressing frustration over what she described as constantly changing visitation rules. The allegations have not been independently verified.
