A Nigerian woman, Mariam Duku Agbatse, who was diagnosed with Bells’ palsy and high blood pressure postpartum has revealed her remarkable transformation.
Mariam, who shared her story in a Facebook post on Saturday, June 2026 said she had a difficult pregnancy.
The mother of four, who was pregnant with twins at the time said she couldn’t move without a walking stick.
She also encouraged other mothers to embrace exercise and a healthy lifestyle.
“You see this walking stick, without it, I couldn’t move that year,” she wrote.
“This was pregnancy for twins. I wasn’t even close to delivery yet. Even though I had them at 32 weeks.
“I had high BP after this delivery. I had Bells’ palsy (half paralysis of the face)
“I had ear infection. I had them through CS. Then talk of my stomach’s elasticity.
“Goodness. If you told me I’d get myself back after carrying twins I’d punch you then.
“But look at me now. What workout, and healthy lifestyle won’t do does not exist.
“Mommas, go and pay for a gym tomorrow. Better still, take a walk na. Na beg I Dey beg o. #dailymotivation
