Mrs. Rachael Olawale Alamu, the rescued principal of Community High School, Esiele, in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has revealed that her vehicle was used by kidnappers to transport her and other victims shortly after their abduction.
Speaking during an interview aired on TVC News on Monday, July 13, 2026, Alamu said the abductors forced the victims into her car before taking them to another location.
“When we were taken, my car was used to convey us to a point. That was where we met the primary pupils and the teacher,” she said.
According to Alamu, it was at that location that she realised pupils from a nearby primary school and one of their teachers had also been abducted, highlighting the scale of the attack and deepening the victims’ fears as they were taken further into captivity.
She said the victims endured days of uncertainty, relying on hope and prayers until they were rescued through a coordinated security operation. Following their release, they received medical treatment and psychological support at the 2 Division Medical Services and Hospital in Ibadan before being formally handed over to the Oyo State Government.
