Wifey is a very good woman, the kind of woman I can walk beside with my eyes closed and trust that she will never let me fall into the pit of hell. There is no me without her. That is why it hurts me so much what I keep doing to that good, good woman. She doesn’t deserve it at all. At all.
I cheat.
Not a small kind of cheat. A very big one. It is sort of embedded in me. It has become a part of me, and I don’t even know how to explain it.
But if you go and tell her right now that I cheat on her, she will chase you out of our house and then call me to tell me what you just came to say. She thinks it is impossible. Not doable. That is because of how transparent we are with each other.
She knows all my passwords. I know all her passwords. We are like peas in a pod. We tell each other almost everything.
But somehow, despite all of that, whenever I go out, I have the tendency to sleep with almost anything in a skirt.
The good thing, if there is even any good thing in all of this, is that I am very careful about protecting myself, so I don’t get infected or bring any infection home to my wife.
