“Terrorists Entered in Forest Guard Uniforms and Passed Through Checkpoints Without Resistance” – Kaigama

Borno South Youth Alliance (BOSYA) President Samaila Ibrahim Kaigama has alleged that terrorists disguised as forest guards infiltrated a community in Borno State and carried out a deadly attack after passing through security checkpoints without resistance.

Speaking during an interview on Channels Television, Kaigama claimed the attackers wore forest guard uniforms, allowing them to move through checkpoints without arousing suspicion before launching the operation.

“The terrorists entered in forest guard uniforms and passed through checkpoints without resistance,” he said.

According to Kaigama, the attackers split into two groups after arriving in the community. He alleged that one group targeted the local market, where a second-hand clothing trader was shot and several women were abducted, although some later escaped. The second group reportedly headed to a school and abducted students.

Kaigama further claimed the attackers created a diversion at the market to distract security forces while the school abductions were carried out. He also alleged that many soldiers were away on patrol at the time, limiting the immediate response.

He called for a thorough investigation into how the attackers were able to move freely while dressed in security-style uniforms and execute what he described as a carefully coordinated operation.
