The Delta State Government has dismissed online reports claiming that former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan is dead, describing the information as false.
Ossai Ovie Success, media aide to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, said he contacted Uduaghan’s family and received confirmation from his daughter, Orode Uduaghan, that the former governor is alive and well. The government condemned the spread of the rumour, urging residents to ignore the reports and refrain from sharing unverified information.
Akpabio Swears In Four Senators
Senate President Godswill Akpabio has inaugurated four senators elected in recent bye-elections conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
The new lawmakers are Asogwa Ikeje Israel, Danladi Envulu-Anza, Dayo Faduyile and Olaka Nwogu. Three were elected on the platform of the APC, while one represents the PDP. Their inauguration increases the APC’s strength in the Senate to 88 members. Akpabio congratulated the senators and urged them to familiarize themselves with Senate procedures and uphold legislative standards.
Zelensky Doing ‘Pretty Well’ Against Russia – Trump
