The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has announced the successful submission of the names and particulars of its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, and vice-presidential candidate, Rotimi Amaechi, to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) nomination portal ahead of the 2027 general election.
The party’s National Publicity Secretary, Bolaji Abdullahi, disclosed the development in a statement shared on his X account on Tuesday, describing it as a key milestone in the ADC’s preparations for the presidential election.
“We are pleased to announce that we have successfully uploaded the names and particulars of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar (GCON), and our Vice Presidential Candidate, Rotimi Amaechi (CON), to the nomination portal of the INEC,” Abdullahi said.
He said the submission demonstrates the party’s commitment to participating fully in the electoral process and offering Nigerians what it described as a credible alternative. Abdullahi added that the move reflects the ADC’s focus on competence, unity and national renewal as it prepares to challenge for power in the 2027 general election.
