Mr Ibu’s First Daughter Is in Her Late 20s, She Carried His Photo at the Burial – Tenkobo

Comic actor Fred “Tenkobo” Ebere has criticised Stella Okafor, the widow of late Nollywood veteran John “Mr Ibu” Okafor, over her recent public appeal for financial assistance.

According to The Cable on Friday, June 26, 2026, Stella said she was struggling to pay her house rent and her children’s school fees. In response, Ebere accused her of using the late actor’s legacy to attract sympathy and donations.

Speaking in a video shared on Instagram, Ebere said he contacted Valentine Okafor, Mr Ibu’s first son, before commenting publicly on Stella’s claims. He also disputed her assertion that Chelsea is Mr Ibu’s only daughter, insisting the late actor had several children.

“Now claiming that Chelsea is the only daughter, na lie. Ibu has plenty of children. His first girl is in her late 20s. She’s the one who carried his photo frame during the burial,” Ebere said.

He further questioned Stella’s decision to seek public donations, arguing that finding employment or starting a business would provide a more sustainable solution to her financial challenges. His remarks have fueled public debate over the late actor’s family and Stella’s appeal for support.
