Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has joined many Nigerians expressing concern over the abducted schoolchildren and teachers from Oyo State.
Reacting on X, the rapper lamented the possible long-term impact the ordeal could have on the children, even if they eventually regain their freedom.
“The kids are still not back, what kind of life could they even live after this if they make it out, Nigeria has happened to them,” he wrote.
His post sparked further reactions from other X users.
One user wrote: “The child who didn’t feel the warmth of the village will return to burn it. They’ll probably be inducted into the terrorists’ system.”
Another user expressed concern about the psychological impact of the incident, writing: “The terrible part is even if they make it out alive, there obviously won’t be access to proper therapy. Most of them will live with the trauma for the rest of their lives. This is sad.”
Another X user blamed the country’s leadership challenges, saying: “E get the way you go wake up as a Nigerian for morning ba, after dreaming of good things, once you remember you are a Nigerian, I swear you go just vex. Meanwhile don’t forget to say no to bad governance. Las las na reform this country needs sha.”
