Godswill Akpabio has praised Nyesom Wike for his infrastructure projects in Abuja, saying only Wike’s critics would fail to acknowledge his achievements.
According to a report by Daily Post on June 26, 2026, Akpabio made the remarks while representing Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the commissioning of the Arterial Road N16–Ring Road III interchange linking Jahi and Gwarimpa districts in the Federal Capital Territory.
The project is among several infrastructure developments inaugurated to mark President Tinubu’s third year in office and is expected to improve traffic flow and connectivity within the FCT.
Akpabio said the pace of infrastructure delivery under Wike’s leadership of the FCT Ministry reflects a strong record of public service, adding that the minister has consistently delivered major projects at both the state and federal levels.
“Nyesom Wike, as governor of Rivers State, you did a lot of miracles for the state, and now as Minister of the FCT, I don’t know how to compare whether you are better as governor of Rivers State or as Minister of the FCT,” Akpabio said.
