Labour Party National Working Committee member Abayomi Arabambi, aligned with the Julius Abure faction, has criticised the political relationship between former presidential candidate Peter Obi and activist Aisha Yesufu.
Speaking during an interview on Symfoni TV on Thursday, July 9, 2026, Arabambi alleged that Obi and Yesufu have consistently acted together on key political matters, describing their relationship as a partnership based on shared political objectives.
“Aisha Yesufu cannot stay where Obi is not; they are birds of the same feather,” Arabambi said.
He argued that political alliances are often driven by common interests and claimed that the pair have remained closely aligned throughout recent political developments. However, he did not provide evidence to support the allegation.
Arabambi added that relationships among influential political figures can shape the direction of political movements and urged Nigerians to assess political developments critically while allowing democratic institutions to resolve disputes through lawful processes.
The remarks represent Arabambi’s personal opinions and allegations made during the interview. They have not been independently verified.
