Primate Elijah Ayodele, leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, has urged the All Progressives Congress (APC) to pay close attention to four states ahead of the 2027 general election, warning that unresolved political challenges could affect the party’s performance.
According to the cleric, Bayelsa, Enugu, Delta and Cross River require urgent political attention if the APC hopes to improve its prospects in the next election cycle.
Ayodele cautioned the ruling party against assuming victory in any of the four states, arguing that internal divisions, political calculations and the strength of the opposition could pose significant obstacles if left unaddressed.
He advised the party’s leadership to begin reconciliation efforts, engage key stakeholders and resolve lingering disagreements before campaign activities intensify.
“The APC needs to look critically at Bayelsa, Enugu, Delta and Cross River. These states require serious political attention. If the party fails to put its house in order and address internal issues, it may face unexpected challenges in the 2027 elections,” Ayodele said.
He added that early preparation, strategic planning and genuine reconciliation among party members would be crucial to the APC’s chances of success in the 2027 polls.
