Model and actress Cara Delevingne has revealed that she and Amber Heard became romantically involved after Heard’s relationship with Johnny Depp ended.
Speaking on the latest episode of “The Louis Theroux Podcast,” Delevingne addressed long-running speculation about her connection with Heard, confirming that their relationship developed during Heard’s divorce from Depp.
According to Cara, there was nothing romantic between them while they were working alongside Depp on the 2018 film London Fields, despite reports that Depp had grown jealous at the time. “Nothing romantic was happening,” she said, adding that Johnny was nonetheless “driven crazy by jealousy.”

She explained that she and Heard had been close friends for years before things later became more complicated. “We became entangled,” Cara said, referring to the period after Amber and Johnny’s relationship had ended.
During the interview, host Louis Theroux also mentioned Elon Musk, who dated Heard on and off following her 2016 split from Depp. Cara appeared to confirm Heard was seeing other people at the time, responding simply: “There you go.” Heard and Depp’s highly publicised divorce eventually culminated in the widely watched 2022 defamation trial, which attracted global attention.

Elsewhere in the interview, Delevingne reflected on her own experiences with sexuality and life in Hollywood. She recalled being warned by disgraced former film producer Harvey Weinstein that openly identifying as gay would damage her acting career.
According to Cara, Weinstein told her she would “never make it” in Hollywood if people believed she was gay, a warning she said influenced her thinking for years before she eventually embraced her sexuality publicly.
