Primate Elijah Babatunde Ayodele, Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, says many Nigerians are dissatisfied with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration and will approach the 2027 general election with greater determination.
According to The Sun on Sunday, July 5, 2026, Ayodele made the remarks on Friday in Lagos during the public presentation of the 2026/2027 edition of Warnings to the Nations. He predicted that the 2027 presidential race would be largely between President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar.
Ayodele said public dissatisfaction with the current administration would significantly influence the election, adding that voters would closely assess the performance of those seeking office. He also predicted the Federal Government would introduce policy adjustments and corrections ahead of the polls in response to public concerns.
The cleric advised Tinubu to be cautious about those in his inner circle, warning that their actions could undermine his re-election bid.
“Nigerians will take the 2027 election very seriously because many are dissatisfied with the Tinubu administration. The government will make several adjustments and policy corrections, but I foresee that many of the people surrounding Tinubu will make costly mistakes that could jeopardise his victory,” he said.
